This Song is about ambition, making a plan and trying to stick to it, and other people, friends and family, trying to tell you that your approach could be wrong. You doubt yourself and get down in the dumps sometimes.

You wonder if your path is the right one for you. And then you realize that we are all doing the same thing, trying to make something of ourselves. We forget to see the light when everything is dark but then we understand that we may not be where we want to be but there are good things too and at least it’s not pouring with rain.

It’s about holding onto the positive things in life instead of dwelling on the bad thing. Being patient, and grateful and trusting the universe to remind you every now and then of who you really are.
